In 2021, 22 and 23, there were over $25,000 given in scholarships each year as provided by Sportsman Boats and it's partners........
March 16, 2024 ( make up date is March 23 ) with interest meetings in February
-Feb 11th at Haddrells Point Tackle in Mount Pleasant 2-4 pm
-Feb 17th at Phantom Outdoors in Moncks Corner 10 am to noon
-Feb 18th at Sea Sea Bait and Tackle in Port Royal 2-4 pm
FREE with membership to SALTT
-If all you do is fish "this" tourney then you do NOT have to pay for membership but everyone on the boat must be registered
-Student Angler Form completed
-Boat Captain Form completed
-Ride Along Form completed ( an adult that is not the boat captain who is 18 years or older )
Go to the registration tab (at the top of this page ) to get registered and once you are registered, we will send confirmation in 24 hours.
Limited to the first 50 boats that register due to lack of parking........
The basic guidelines ( for the entire set of rules the Download File is below )
-an adult cannot touch a rod and reel since there is a lot of scholarship money on the line.
-as many as 2 student anglers and 2 adults can be on the boat
-each boat represents a team and you can have up to 2 student anglers who will split the winnings
-you can only have as many fishing lines out as you have student anglers on the boat ( 2 anglers = 2 lines )
-live or cut bait is allowed as well as artificials
-everyone will launch from Buck Hall where we have weigh ins
-checks will be sent after the event to Future Scholar or your investor if your child is not going to college
