MISSION
While providing competition on boats and practicing conservation of catch and release, the emphasis is sportsmanship in celebrating others while being eager to share oneself through community service.  

-League sanctioned by the South Carolina Boating and Fishing Alliance 

-Catch and Release Tournaments: all fish released with a goal of 100% live release  

-Tournaments honoring by SC Department of Natural Resources rules and regulations
    -Redfish "new" slot of 18-25 inches for all tourneys
    -Weigh in / in person at Georgetown, the redfish possession rule of 2 per boat rule will be honored. 
    -Bass teams will have a minimum of 12 inches for weigh in / in person and 14 inches for a Virtual Inches tournament.  

   
-Conservation Education of catch and release with partnership with Release Over 20
    -students can register to win prizes through the website https://releaseover20.org/

-Community Service awards sponsored by Coastal Conservation Association. ( more details on the CS tab ) 

MEMBERSHIP
-One time FREE registration for the entire school year:
-Grades 1-12 for any public, private, home or virtual school student
-Open to everyone so you do NOT have to have a team or club at your school 
-Anyone can order the official SALTT jerseys as we will have an online store open during the summer

DIVISIONS 
-Elementary School Division is grades 1-4
-Middle School Division is grades 5-8
-High School Division is grades 9-12 
*for in-person weigh in, it is a boat tourney so mixed teams fish in the higher division for a weigh in / in person 
*for VIP or Bingo, it is an individual tourney so you compete in your division 

SPECIES
Bass fishing is artificial only 
​Reds fishing is artificial but you can use live/cut bait per SCDNR rules using a circle hook 

TOURNEYS in person Weigh in at Georgetown 
-school year season weigh in tournaments (4) in Georgetown for students to target reds or bass
-each boat is a team 
-best 3 of 4 bag weight total for division champions PLUS a points champion in each division
-free handful of fishing tackle for participating 

-free raffle with over $3,000 in prizes related to fishing  
-free food and drinks provided by Sonic
-awards are gift cards 1st / $300, 2nd / $200, 3rd / $100 and Big Fish $50 for each of the 6 divisions 
-you must check in virtually before you begin
 
VIP Tourneys 

-pick 6 of 12 dates in the spring and fall series ( total of 24 dates ) 
-individual tournament so you are fishing against your partner if you are in the same division 
-Top 3 place by the accumulation of the most inches ( more details on the Virtual Inches tab )
-awards are gift cards 1st / $300, 2nd / $200, 3rd / $100 for each of the 6 divisions in each series 
-you must check in virtually before you begin 

COMMON SENSE 
-Adults can fish but only the "kid's fish" will count 
-Each boat must have an adult must be 21 or older 
-Each boat can have 2 adults and 2 kids so do not ask for a 3rd adult or 3rd kid
-All tournaments require a video sent to the director before you launch with the password of that day's tournament 
-All launching areas must be a public boat ramp and/or a location that everyone in the tournament has access to 
  ​

BINGO 
-pick any day over the course of 4 months for spring and fall series
-individual event so you are fishing to earn a 5 across Bingo to win a 5 pack of ZMan  
-individual event to complete the entire Bingo card to enter a drawing for prizes up to $100
-drawing for those completing cards for both saltwater and and freshwater in the spring and fall   
-you do not check in for this tournament because you do not have to be on a boat for this event so you are not covered under our liability insurance plan because this event does not require a check in.
